When is a cut box preferred?
Cut-out boxes may have product-specific opening, folding and locking details. It is evaluated in presentation or layout needs where the standard box layout is not sufficient.
What should you evaluate?
Ease of assembly and removal of the product from the box are important in the design. An overly complex expansion may increase packaging time. It is useful to try the sample in the actual packaging flow.
The next step for your project
Mold, printing, order quantity and repeat production plan should be discussed at the proposal stage. Proceed through the approved expansion and sample before final production.
